The aim point defines the patrol
Drone Hive is a tower listed in Horizon Studios' official Roblox game passes. Its drones circle your aim point and strafe bugs inside that ring. The developer also describes a dedicated upgrade tree for the tower.
That description makes the aim point the center of the action: the drones patrol around the position you choose. When reading the battlefield, look at the area around that point and the route passing through it. A drone-themed tower does not, by itself, imply that its units chase targets anywhere on the map.
Think about the route through the ring
A practical starting idea is to aim where an incoming route passes through the patrol area. At a bend, consider how much of the approach could remain inside the ring, instead of placing the center over empty ground beside it. If pressure shifts to another approach, reassess which area needs attention.
These are positioning suggestions drawn from the advertised patrol mechanic. This wiki has not independently played or measured Drone Hive, and does not have a verified placement that guarantees a clear.
Four advertised upgrade directions
The official description identifies four parts of Drone Hive's own tree. They describe what can change, without providing the node order or the size of each improvement.
| Upgrade direction | What the description establishes |
|---|---|
| Drones | The tree can increase the number of drones. |
| Damage | Damage is an upgrade direction. |
| Fire rate | Firing frequency is an upgrade direction. |
| Patrol | The patrol area can become wider. |
Access and exact values
Drone Hive has its own official game-pass listing. Follow the source below for the current offer, then read the live tower and node descriptions before spending upgrade resources.
The public listing does not give the starting drone count, patrol radius, damage values, fire interval, upgrade costs or prerequisites. A wider patrol concerns coverage; it does not establish a damage increase. The available wording also cannot determine whether adding drones or improving another branch is the strongest first choice.
